Oleg Timchenko

Oleg Timchenko was born in 1957, (Tbilisi, Georgia). He is a famous Georgian contemporary artist. His first appearance to Georgian art space was made in the 80’s, when the students of Academy of Arts, with Oleg Timchenko formed the group “10-th floor”. The group was opened for new ideas and experiments and created new era in Georgian contemporary art. His first steps as an artist was very daring, needs to be noted the forms of self expression (performances & etcetera) Oleg Timchenko’s art vision is very specific and diverse. He depicts gnomes, Infanta’s, dwarfs, forests, imaginary characters… with his significant and individual style. Timchenko works and lives in Tbilisi, Georgia.
